Making slow music together and Sound Meditation (with voice)

The Open Door Health & Wellness Centre, Lewes, BN7 2LU

7 -9pm

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take part in creating meditative music with other people?

I will be collaborating with the talented Zimbabwean Isaac Jengwa, from https://isaacjengwa.com/ to bring you something a little different. It’s about slowing down, connecting with your inner creative spirit and having fun. We will guide you to use sound, rhythm, voice and simple instruments as tools to bring inner calm, presence and joy. At the end there will also be a gentle, immersive sound bath experience to bring deep relaxation and sooth the nervous system.

Absolutely NO musical experience needed — this is not about performance or learning music.

Together we’ll create a welcoming, playful, supportive space to:

  • discover simple ways to self-regulate by exploring rhythms, movement and harmonising sounds

  • awaken your inner creative spirit by connecting with self and others through sound

  • experience the calming, stress releasing effects of sound

  • Leave feeling grounded and balanced - uplifted and calmer.

What to Expect

  • Welcome circle & introductions with grounding instruments

  • Guided exploration of healing sound instruments: Mbira, guitar, chimes, shakers & crystal bowls

  • Drumming, humming & moving

  • A deeply relaxing sound bath

  • Tea and chatter

    Booking Fee: £40
